Apple Music's Connect feature will reportedly have a less prominent spot in iOS 10.

Connect will lose its dedicated tab and is getting relegated to the "For You" recommendations page in Apple's next mobile OS upgrade, according to a report by 9to5 Mac.

The idea behind Connect, launched in 2015, is to allow musicians to chat directly with fans and share one-of-a-kind video or audio snippets that don't appear anywhere else.

Apple didn't immediately respond to a request to comment, but we'll likely learn more at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 13.
