Iron Man partners with drone in new Marvel comic
Gotta love brands. Marvel partners with drone maker DJI on a new "Iron Man" comic that gives Tony Stark a leg up on the bad guys thanks to a DJI Phantom quadcopter.
Of all the technology at Tony Stark's disposal, who knew that Iron Man could better fend off bad guys with a little help from a quadcopter drone?
That's more or less the premise of a new "Iron Man" comic out this week, in which Iron Man teams up with a DJI Phantom drone to defeat Marvel supervillain M.O.D.O.K.
In the comic, we see a journalist equipped with a DJI Phantom use the quadcopter to alert Iron Man to impending danger at the fictional Roxxon Labs. M.O.D.O.K. manages to escape Iron Man through a dangerous portal, so the brainiacs at Roxxon Labs decide to send the Phantom drone through the portal to find him.
The comic is called "Remote Possibilities #1," and was created as part of the Marvel Custom Solutions service. That program is a marketing outlet that designs advertising campaigns by creating custom comic books for brands like DJI, Adobe, Lexus and many more.
Can Iron Man and his new quadcopter ally save the day? You'll have to read the comic to find out. If you happen to be at Comic-Con on Friday, you can snag a physical copy of the comic at the DJI Boat on the 5th Avenue landing marina outside the convention center.
