iPod Shuffle gets the color treatment

Apple added splashes of color to its iPod Shuffle lineup Tuesday, offering the tiny music player in four bright hues, as well as the original silver.

The . And while Apple touts the trendiness of the new colors, they can play a practical role for those who have trouble locating when glancing about a room.

Apple's application of color to the 1GB player comes three months after the debut of the device, which initially was offered in only silver. The , but iPod fans had to wait until November 3 for the formal launch.
