iPhoto 5.0.2 (#2): Slideshow problems

CNET staff

MacFixIt reader Herman Ryckelynck reports an issue with iPhoto 5.0.2 slideshows for which we are seeking confirmation.

Herman writes:

"Checking out slideshows after updating to 5.0.2, I notice that slideshows cannot play fullscreen on my 17" flat panel (1440x900). There are black borders both vertically and horizontally. Before(5.0.1) this update, they filled the screen as they did under previous versions. The problem persists with or without the scaling option, whether Current View, iDVD or Widescreen is selected , and also with the Ken Burns effect. I did try setting the screen to a resolution of 1152x700 and the images in the slideshow did then fill the screen as usual without any black borders.

"With a resolution of 1440x900 slideshows with different transitions are also not playing fluently, both image and music often stick and this only when the option 4:3 iDVD-Tv is selected. This is not happening with a resolution of 1152x700."
