Invalid kernel extensions: a follow-up

Invalid kernel extensions: a follow-up

CNET staff
Several users have pointed out that the cause of the "not a valid kernel extension bundle" error messages in the system.log (which we first noticed last week) has been explained by Apple in a Developer Tech note, which states:

"kextload always prints warnings about msdosfs.kext and webdav_fs.kext not being valid kernel extensions. This is because those two extensions are built in an old format and because kextload always scans every extension in /System/Library/Extensions. You can safely ignore these warnings."

(Thanks, Matt Penn, Tom Fisher, and others.)
