InfoSpace has introduced a kid-friendly search engine called Zoo.com, the Web portal said Tuesday. Geared for 8- to 13-year-olds, the site aggregates Web search results from several other sites, including Google, Yahoo and Wikipedia. But it also filters sexually explicit content by restricting the occurrence of sites that include adult-related words. Zoo.com also includes news results from the likes of ABC News and Fox News.

Still, sites like Google and Yahoo have their own kid-filtering systems. Google, for example, offers a safe-surf mode, and Yahoo runs the child-directory Yahooligans.
