InfoSpace, which owns the Dogpile meta Web search site, is set to launch on Monday a Java interface for its mobile search offerings. The service, already in use in WAP (wireless application protocol)-enabled phones, uses a global positioning system to automatically locate where the phone user is and offers up information specific to that area. It integrates search with maps, driving directions and other information, such as movie times.
