iMovie 1.0.2 "beeping" bug

John McNamara writes: "There is a serious problem with iMovie 1.0.2 interacting with certain DV camcorders. The symptom is spurious beeps inserted in the audio track during the import phase. I've experienced this with a Canon Vistura connected to a G4/450 running 9.0.4. The 2-Pop Forums have several reports of this matter (see this one for example). It seems to affect certain Canon and Sony camcorders. However, importing the same footage in a program like BTV or Reeleyes doesn't have the problem. The only work-arounds I have heard of are to revert to iMovie 1.0 or downgrade to QuickTime 4.0."
