iMac G5 rev. C (iSight) [#5]: No picture taken by iSight -- try disconnecting power

CNET staff

No picture taken by iSight -- try disconnecting power A handful of users have reported a problem where the iMac G5's built-in iSight camera fails to take a picture with Photo Booth, and does not generate a video stream in iChat AV and other applications.

In many instances, this issue can be resolved by simply disconnecting the iMac from power temporarily (after it has been manually shut down) then re-connecting it to power.

Other users have reported that third-party FireWire camera drivers can interfere with built-in iSight operation. If you are using an IOXperts FireWire driver, or perhaps other drivers, try uninstalling them and re-attempt camera capture in iChat AV or Photo Booth.
