The Adobe Illustrator 9.0 to 9.0.1 Update is out. It addresses issues discovered after the release of Illustrator 9.0. These include (see also this PDF file for more details): Enhanced Performance: Selecting artwork and working in Outline mode is faster; Optimized internally to take advantage of the Macintosh G4 Velocity Engine; Scratch disk use is minimized; Exporting files to SVG format is faster. Improved File Integrity: The window shade issue is resolved (see previous MacFixIt coverage); Groups included in compound paths round-trip when saved as PDF 1.3 and 1.4; Vertically scaled text now exports correctly to SVG; The Euro character now displays and prints correctly. Improved Stability: Opening files no longer generates erroneous out-of-memory warnings; The Sangam2Mapper plug-in no longer causes freezes when launching; iMode rasterization settings now appear in the Save for Web dialog; Force Fonts to Download option now works correctly with EFI Fiery RIPs in Japan.
