Illustrator 7 printing problems: a follow-up

Regarding the printing problems with Illustrator 7 (mentioned last time), a reader sent in a statement from Adobe on the subject.

Also, two more readers weighed in with their comments:

a. Jeff Montgomery noted that the Release Notes for Illustrator 7 "indicate that separations, at least, are not possible with a Level 1 interpreter."

b. Contrary to another reader's suggestion, James Magee claimed to have the printing problem even on Level 2 Postscript devices.
