IDC issued a correction to its closely-watched PC market share results today, reversing its statement that Lenovo's shipment totals shrank during 2005.

The market researcher had said that Lenovo's PC shipment totals decreased 5.1 percent, when they actually increased their total shipments by 10.3 percent. Lenovo still ranks as the third-largest PC supplier in the world behind Dell and HP.

Lenovo, which completed its purchase of IBM's PC business earlier this year, still trailed the growth of the overall market in 2005. But ThinkPads aren't falling from the sky just yet.
