There's a never-ending variety of mixed drinks that are easy to make and fun to imbibe. Yet, time after time we tend to gravitate to what we know. There is no harm in knowing what one likes, but the same old, same old can get stagnant. There is a solution, however, for those who wish to think inside the box -- or in this case the glass -- while at the same time trying something new.

The IceLiners by Daniel Kana are silicone molds that fit inside a martini or rocks glass. Kana's Kickstarter project hopes to take a straightforward concept and bring it into reality.

The simple device holds water along the sides of a glass giving it time to set in the freezer. Not limited to only water, the fun drink accessory can be used with any flavored liquid that freezes in a regular home freezer.

The silicone mold fits over the rim of the glass and the glasses that it was designed with are commonly available Libbey glasses. This is a nice and not insignificant detail; sooner or later the glass will need to be replaced as this is booze we're talking about after all.

Starting at a pledge level of $25, and with 28 days to go at time of publication, this Kickstarter project looks like a fun and affordable way to put a twist on an old favorite or make up an entirely new drink.
