A man and his hybrid bike won Yahoo's "Think Big" contest, the company announced Thursday. Craig Ridenhour, a cardiovascular ultrasound specialist who developed the StairCycle, received 10 million free ad impressions for winning the top prize.

The contestevaluated the best business plans, which attracted nearly 8,000 entries. Ridenhour's invention is the StairCycle, a hybrid bicycle that combines the benefits of a stair-step exercise system with a recreational bike. Ridenhour's StairCycle was selected for its "inventive product and entrepreneurial spirit," by Richard Branson, chairman of Virgin Group and a contest judge.
