In early August, we checked out the HTC Wildfire--an Android 2.1 device with a compact design and wallet-friendly price tag. At the time, it was only available in Europe and Asia, but HTC now plans to ring the smartphone to the U.S.

The company announced on Thursday that the HTC Wildfire will be made available from a number of regional carriers in North America starting in Q4. Specific providers, however, were not revealed at this time.

The Wildfire features a 3.2-inch QVGA touch screen, HTC Sense, and a 5-megapixel camera. To learn more, check out our full review of the unlocked HTC Wildfire.
