Verizon has been on a tear lately, with the recent announcements of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, the Motorola Droid X2, and now you can add the HTC Trophy to the list.

Launching as Verizon's first Windows Phone device, the Trophy will be available online starting May 26 and in stores on June 2 for $149.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. To sweeten the deal even more, customers who buy the smartphone before July 15 will get a free Xbox 360 console game and can choose from Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports, and Lode Runner.

Of course, one of the perks of the Windows Phone mobile operating system is the Xbox Live integration, which allows you to play and purchase Xbox live games right on your phone. In addition, you can personalize your avatar and access your gamer's profile and achievements. You can read more about Windows Phone in our review here.

As for the Trophy itself, the smartphone offers a 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture, and SRS surround-sound technology. There's 16GB of onboard memory, and good news for globe-trotters: the Trophy had dual-mode world phone capabilities.

All in all, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us but the Trophy faces some stiff competition when it goes on sale the same day as the Xperia Play and Droid X2. Which will you choose?
