T-Mobile apparently just confirmed an April 24 availability date for the HTC One smartphone. Rather than through a formal press release, the carrier confirmed when HTC's hot flagship handset will grace its shelves via a short and sweet Twitter update.

According to T-Mobile watcher TmoNews, the wireless company tweeted the info tidbit through its T-Mobile USA account. The announcement specifically calls out the LTE version of the HTC One, which should come as no surprise since it was one of the devices highlighted at the carrier's recent LTE unveiling in New York.

There's been a lot of interest in HTC's newest superphone, which is expected to hit three of the four major US carriers this month: AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. After reviewing the gadget I have to say that I'm incredibly impressed with its speed, power, and gorgeous aluminum design. The phone's camera is snappy and choc-full of features, too. Of course how it'll compare with the other 800-pound smartphone elephant in the room, Samsung's Galaxy S4, is still an exercise in speculation, though a gripping one at that. That said, it's sure to be an epic struggle, which I, for one, can't wait to see up close.
