HTC One gets closer to Android 4.4.2 KitKat

HTC's flagship phone is now being certified for KitKat by mobile carriers, the final stage before the update is pushed out to customers.

HTC One owners are one step closer to taking a bite out of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

HTC's Software Updates page now shows the HTC One as currently being certified by all four major US carriers -- AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The page also reveals the certification process as the last step before the carriers push out the over-the-air update to subscribers.

Last Thursday, HTC tweeted that KitKat for the HTC One had entered carrier labs for final testing and that certification was expected this week. The latest flavor of Android reached the unlocked version, Developer Edition, and Google Edition of the HTC One late last year.
