HTC and Verizon officially announce Droid Incredible
After weeks of rumors, HTC and Verizon Wireless finally announce the upcoming availability of HTC's latest Android device, the Droid Incredible.

The Droid Incredible will hit stores on April 29 for $199.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. It runs Android 2.1 and the latest version of HTC Sense. The latter includes such features as a new Leap screen where you can view thumbnail versions of all seven home screens for easy switching, a FriendStream widget, and group contacts. All should run smoothly given the smartphone's 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The device is outfitted with the full wireless options--Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS--and also offers an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for Skype mobile and NFL Mobile.
The Droid Incredible will be available for preorder through Verizon's Web site starting April 19 and will require one of the carrier's smartphone data plans, which start at $29.99 per month for unlimited access, in addition to a talk plan.
