HP LaserJet software: how to get all the PPD files

A reliable source informs us that a default installation of the new HP LaserJet software only installs the PPD files for the high end printers (2100, 40x0, and up) and does not install PPD files for the 6MP and lower. Doing a custom installation of the LaserJet installer will allow the user to select "Printer Descriptions" which will install the entire spectrum of PPD files. Also, the A4 version of the installer is for the paper sizes that are standard outside of the US. Our source advises: "Don't install it unless you know you're using A4 size paper."
