For every new medium and technology, there's a new way to game the system. That axiom has been reinforced once again by Jacob Lodwick, a self-described "real person" from New York who is running a contest to see how many people will bookmark his page on Del.icio.us.

Lodwick promises to randomly award $100 to a Del.icio.us member who bookmarks his contest page. Why is he doing it? "To see how many people will enter," he says--though the stunt has also generated a ton of publicity, not to mention links.

Speaking of links, he has gotten a few thousand of them as of this posting. That makes your odds a lot better than the lottery, should you decide to give it a go. But if you do, you'd better hurry: The contest ends at noon Pacific time today.
