Any of you Trekkies out there dying for a chance to be part of the next "Star Trek" movie? A new philanthropic contest from the cast and crew will give one lucky fan the opportunity to have a walk-on role in 2016's "Star Trek Beyond."

The contest is a partnership with money-raising organization Omaze, and benefits nine charities: Brave Beginnings, Camp Sunshine, DirectRelief, KidsCan, Heaven Homes, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make a Wish and Time Is Precious. The charities were selected by the cast members of "Star Trek Beyond" and each does a ton of great work to benefit children and the broader community.

Those who wish to enter the contest can do so on the Omaze "To Boldly Go" campaign page. The minimum donation to enter the contest is $10 (about £6, AU $13). Donations will be accepted Tuesday through September 1. Those who donate more than the minimum can secure collectables like T-shirts, original concept art and a replica captain's chair. Oh, and the more you give, the more chances you have to be picked to be in the movie and hang out with the folks in the video above.

"Star Trek Beyond" will land in theaters in the US and UK on July 8, 2016. Release information for Australia is not available at this time.
