Linux seller Lindows said a federal judge will hear its request Wednesday to bar Microsoft from extending its Windows trademark actions overseas. The Seattle U.S. District Court judge overseeing Microsoft's suit against Lindows, which alleges the Linux company's name infringes on Microsoft's Windows trademark, will hear arguments .

Microsoft won a preliminary injunction barring Lindows from doing business in Benelux countries and has pursued similar actions in Canada, France and other countries. A trial in the U.S. case has been delayed following the appeal of the judge's evidentiary decision against Microsoft.
