Hallo, Germany: Nexus 4 back in stock in country's Google store

The device has been selling out repeatedly in various regions, but it's back today in Germany's Google Play Store. It's unclear when it will again be available in other countries.

Google's Nexus 4 smartphone is back in stock in the Google Play Store in Germany, making it one of the few locations where people can currently order the phone.

A Google spokeswoman told CNET the device became available in the European country this morning. She declined to provide details about future availability in other regions.

The LG Nexus 4 has been selling out pretty rapidly since its November launch, with consumers forced to wait many weeks for the device to ship or to even show availability online. The smartphone is one developed closely with Google, giving a pure and polished experience with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, as CNET reviewers have noted. It does lack 4G LTE capabilities, though that doesn't appear to be hurting demand for the device.

The Nexus 4 sold out in less than half an hour when it was released in mid-November.

A Google executive last month blamed LG for the shortage , saying supplies from the company have been "scarce and erratic." The company at the time vowed to improve the situation and said it should have good news to share shortly.
