Boss comes out with 'ultimate guitar companion'

You'd think a company like Boss could afford to get some better marketing help. Although the music icon has come out with what seems to be an interesting gadget, it's been christened with the unfortunate name of the "Micro BR Digital Recorder." Sounds like something you might find in a doctor's office or a lathing shop.

But if you're into guitars--and you can get past the name--this "ultimate palmtop guitar companion" might be worth checking out. The MP3 recorder and player, which is described as being slightly larger than an iPod, has a "guitar multi-effects processer, built-in rhythm patterns and 32 recording tracks," as well as 300 drum patterns. That alone, in our opinion, deserves a better name.

Details about Apple's 'spaceship' campus from the drone pilot who flies over it

MyithZ has one of the most popular aerial photography channels on YouTube. With the exception of revealing his identity, he is an open book as he shares with CNET's Brian Tong the drone hardware he uses to capture flyover shots of the construction of Apple's new campus, which looks remarkably like an alien craft.
