, a one-stop shop for Hollywood movies and user-created/uploaded videos has slashed its prices for movies. For the first time, users can download most titles for only $9.99 on the same day the DVD is released (for example, the movie RV). Catalog movies will cost $4.99 and TV shows only $0.49. This is definitely a smart move, as users and reviewers alike have lambasted sites such as Guba, Movielink, and CinemaNow for higher-than-DVD prices. This should pave the way for like-priced movies from Apple--not if the company starts selling movies, but when.
