Sony and Polyphony Digital have just announced that Gran Turismo 5 will be available in Australia from Thursday, 25 November.

The much anticipated game has been delayed several times already, with the previous early November launch pushed back to an unspecified date later this year.

A total of 1031 cars will be included, from the Nissan GT-R and Ferrari 458 Italia to oddities like the 1948 Volkswagen Schwimmwagen. A full list of included cars and tracks can be found on the game's official site.

Editors' note: we initially had the launch date listed Wednesday, 24 November as that is what is listed on the Australian version of the Gran Turismo site. This we believe is the launch date in Europe and the US. Subsequent information, however, from Sony Australia leads us to believe that the Australian launch date is 25 November. We will confirm this for you on Monday, 15 November.
