GraphicConverter update to fix slide show bug Regarding our recent report of a slide show problem in GraphicConverter 4, Thorsten Lemke (author of GraphicConverter) informs us: "I found the problem. It appears only with less than 16.7 millions of colors video mode. I will release version 4.0.1 with a fix in about 10 days. The next version will also support the export and import of large 256 color FireViewer PDB files for the Palm." Digital Media Remote 2.0 is not beta A correction: Yesterday, we stated that Keyspan Digital Media Remote 2.0 was still a beta version. Keyspan now informs us that it is, in fact, a final release version. The update adds new features such as the ability to run AppleScripts, launch any file or program, control system volume, and send text strings. The software also has an improved user interface, support for Mac OS 9's Multiple Users, and support for using 'universal' remote controls. QuickTime 5's Sound Manager conflict Oscar Nierstrasz had to disable the Sound Manager 3.6.6 extension (included with QuickTime 5 Preview) before he could get Cinemania 97 to launch (see also this related item).
