The front door to Google's universe of apps and entertainment products was shut momentarily today.

For about 10 minutes on Friday afternoon, queries to the Google Play store were met with an error message. "We're sorry, there was an error. Please try again later," the message said.

In the time it took us to ask Google for comment, search was restored. We've asked Google about the cause of the brief outage and will update this post if we hear back.
