No snow has fallen this winter, but you can still have a white Christmas with one of our favourite gadgets: the Google Nexus 7 is now available with a snowy white case.

For now, you can only buy the white Nexus 7 with 32GB of memory, which costs £239. The cheaper 16GB model is only available in black. The new model also only comes with Wi-Fi; if you want 4G LTE for fast surfing and streaming when you're out and about, you will have to go for the black version.

The Nexus 7 is on sale from the Big G's Google Play online store right now, here and in the US and Japan.

The new Nexus 7, which replaced the previous model in August, is the 7-inch tablet to beat. Not only does it boast a 1,920x1,200 screen and quad-core Snapdragon S4 power, but it's also one of the first devices to run the latest Android 4.4 KitKat software. And all for that wallet-friendly price.

Happily, Google's budget tablet takes one or two working days to turn up, as it faces none of the stock shortages that have plagued its smart phone sibling the Nexus 5, and before it the Nexus 4.

Is the new Nexus 7 the best tablet around? What colour would you like to see? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook wall.
