Google mocks iPhone storage capabilities

Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
That would have been the selfie of a lifetime.
Google cares.
It cares about the fact that you have an iPhone and it might be one of the 16GB variety that seems a little inappropriate for modern life.
After all, you take selfies approximately once every four minutes. How can you keep them all on a phone with such paltry storage?
In order to show that it feels for you, Google released an ad last week that mocks your iPhone's storage and expresses exactly how you sometimes feel when it blocks you from uploading any more selfies.
Here we see people about to take the shot of a lifetime.
Suddenly, it gets shot down by the phone's lack of capacity.
Of course, the ad doesn't actually mention the iPhone.
But the alert that comes up on screen mightily resembles an iPhone message.
Oh, if only you had Google's "free up space" feature, its Photos app would automatically whip the photos that are already backed up in the cloud out of your phone.
This leaves you to enjoy taking more and more selfies and then posting them to Facebook for your friends to ignore.
Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
I fear, though, that one or two Cupertinians might muse: "Hey, Google. Made any great phones recently?"
