Good riddance, 16GB: New iPhones come in 32GB, 128GB, 256GB capacities
The entry-level versions of the iPhone 6S/6S Plus and iPhone 7/7 Plus finally come with 32GB of memory instead of the paltry 16GB of earlier models.

Like others, I have been critical of Apple for including only 16GB of storage in the entry-level versions of the iPhone 6 and 6S when base models of rival high-end smartphones came with 32GB.
Well, Apple's finally killed the 16GB iPhone, at least when it comes the iPhone 6S/6S Plus and iPhone 7 /7 Plus, all of which include 32GB of memory in their entry-level versions. The top-end 7/7 Plus models include 256GB.

I'd prefer it if the iPhone had an expansion slot for adding your own memory card at a much reduced price, but Apple isn't about to kill the thing that helps create the huge margins on its phones. Still, the move to 32GB -- and doubling up on the memory on all its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models -- is a step in the right direction.
