'Ghostbusters' teaser trailer exposes danger in the streets

Fans get a weekend treat with new footage from the upcoming "Ghostbusters" movie.

We don't know exactly why everyone is aiming their weapons, but the answer will likely give Gozer a run for his money.

Back in 1989, a psychic in "Ghostbusters II" predicted that the world would end on February 14, 2016.

She described to Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) how an alien staying at a New Jersey Holiday Inn told her about the day of doom. "Valentine's Day. Bummer," Venkman responded.

Our reward for the world's survival over the weekend: the first trailer from the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot.

In the 28-second teaser trailer released Sunday, we see a massive police car chase, as well as SWAT teams and military forces running toward a mysterious, but clearly dangerous, threat. Ominous background music adds to the sense of menace.

We'll have to wait to see cast members Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth save us from not-so-friendly spirits, when the full "Ghostbusters" trailer debuts March 3.

Apparently, interest in ghost busting is high. As of this morning, the trailer has snagged nearly 1.9 million views.
