Getting the Sorenson codec for non-English systems

CNET staff
Yesterday, we reported the release of a Sorenson 3 codec for QuickTime in Mac OS X. For users of non-English systems having trouble getting this codec, a MacFixIt reader advises:

"For foreign users that may be unable to get this update, receiving a message stating that the necessary information can not be found on the QuickTime servers (or words to that effect): Switch the system's language to English. To do this, open the System Preferences and go to International. In the upper of the two lists, drag 'English' to the top of the list. Quit System Preferences and open them again. They will now use the English language. Then you can perform the update as described. After you're done, you can switch back to your preferred language."

This MacFixIt Forums thread (QuickTime can't update) covers similar ground.
