If you find yourself having a hard time snagging a PlayStation Portable on Thursday, chances are you can at least be glad you don't live in Charlotte, N.C., where retail availability for the already scarce gadget just got worse.

The Charlotte Observer reports that a gentleman entered an area GameStop store on Tuesday night, shortly after it had received its initial shipment of PSPs, and grabbed 12 "Value Packs" from the back storeroom

"When a clerk confronted him, he tried to knock her glasses off her face," the newspaper reported.

The clerk was unhurt, the thief remains at large and the PSPs are likely piling up bids on eBay right now.
