Get personalized iOS app suggestions from Tappd
Tappd wants to help you discover more iOS apps by crowdsourcing recommendations.
A free iOS app is attempting to make it easier for us to find apps in the App Store. I know I can sympathize with the issue it's taking on, as I try to find new apps on a daily basis, only to be disappointed with the results.
Tappd helps you tap into the feed of the apps fellow users are using and recommending. The first time you run the app, you're asked to select app categories you're interested. In turn, the app will attempt to surface suggestions based on your likes and dislikes.
I've been using the app for a few days, and the suggestions range from the obvious -- popular apps such as Evernote -- to more obscure and newer apps such as Ultravisual. You can tap an app to suggest it, leaving a mini-review directly within the app for others to base a decision on.
If you've been looking for an app to help you better find apps, you should give Tappd a try. On the flip side, by using the app you can quickly refer friends to your Tappd account when they ask for app suggestions.
Tappd will eventually make its way to Android and the Windows Store, according to its website. There's no mention of timing, however.
