It probably goes without saying that as we barrel into the holiday season, many of my upcoming deals will be with an eye toward gift-giving.

And who wouldn't love a top-notch Bluetooth speaker? Nobody, that's who.

For a limited time, and while supplies last, StackSocial has the Soundfreaq Pocket Kick portable Bluetooth speaker for $74.99, shipped. It normally sells for $99.99, and indeed, that's the price over at Amazon.

A small speaker can be a welcome travel companion, especially when it's thin and light enough to slip easily into a bag, purse or even pocket. The Pocket Kick weighs just over half a pound and measures 5.9 x 2.5 x 1.2 inches, so it should prove comfy in any of those locations.

Of course, small size means small sound, right? Wrong! Although CNET hasn't reviewed the Pocket Kick, iLounge gave it an 'A' rating and said this: "What Jawbone started with its original Jambox, Soundfreaq has just about perfected in this pocket-sized speaker." Meanwhile, Amazon buyers collectively rated it 4.6 stars out of 5, with gushing reviews like this one: "Holy crap this thing is awesome."

The speaker doubles as a speakerphone for those conference-table calls I know everyone makes (that's a joke -- I don't think I've ever used a speaker's speakerphone capability), and it can run for a full 10 hours before needing a recharge. There's an AUX-in jack (and cable!) in case you want to sling tunes from a non-Bluetooth device.

You can get the speaker in your choice of black, gold or platinum. Just take note that shipping may take one to two weeks, though that's still plenty of time to get it wrapped and under the tree, menorah, or whatever. For the on-the-go audiophile in your life, this would make a fine gift indeed.

Bonus deal: History is replete with awesome mash-ups. Bottle-opener rings, bottle-opener sandals, bottle-opener sunglasses -- you get the idea. But where's the bottle opener that can also sync/charge your iPhone? Where, I ask you? Right here: For a limited time, Kanex is offering the GoBuddy+ bottle opener with Lightning sync/charge cable for $19.95, shipped. That's after applying coupon code cnetbuddy at checkout. (Limit one per order, but you can order multiple times.) Still a little pricey, yeah, but a great gift item for anyone who likes beer and syncing. Mmmm...syncing.
