Go public with your Privates. The headphones, that is! Outdoor Tech

If I can just get my juvenile snickering out of the way right up front... Heh-heh, "Privates," heh-heh.

Now, then. I've featured a ton of Bluetooth speakers in this space, but surprisingly few Bluetooth headphones. All that changes starting...now!

For a limited time, you can get the Outdoor Tech Privates touch-control Bluetooth headphones for $79.95 shipped. That's $20 off the regular price -- and you can't even get these right now on Amazon, they're so popular.

The Privates are overon-the-ear headphones with swipe-able controls on the right earcup. You swipe up or down to raise or lower the volume, left or right for the previous track or next track.

That may sound like a gimmick, but it's actually incredibly awesome. The whole point of wireless headphones is to leave your phone or tablet on a table or in a pocket while you lounge around, clean the kitchen, or whatever. You don't want to have to reach for the thing every time you want to skip a song or bump the volume. With the Privates, you don't have to.

What's more, if you don't have a device that can sling tunes via Bluetooth, just connect the detachable audio cable to the left earcup. And if a call comes in, take it: there's a built-in microphone.

The Privates fold up nicely for a travel and come with a soft-sided carrying pouch for that purpose.

CNET hasn't reviewed these, but I was able to get some ears-on time with a pair. Verdict: Really, really nice. They're fairly compact for over-the-ear 'phones, but still very cushy and comfortable. The touch controls work well, though it would be nice if a single tap of the earcup would play/pause. Instead, you have to press an actual button. At least it's easy to find by touch, as it protrudes slightly from the front corner.

Most importantly, they sound great, at least to my ears. Crystal-clear and lots of bass. (I'm no audiophile, but I know what I like.) Usually when I'm in the mood for solo tunes, I reach for a pair of earbuds, but next time I'll be putting Privates on my head. (Hey, you should be impressed I managed to hold out this long. So many joke opportunities...)

If you want a more professional take, PC Mag conducted an in-depth review and gave the Privates 3.5 stars. Of course, that was with the $99.95 price tag.

For this deal, you can get the Privates in black or mustard. Add either one to your cart and you'll see the automatically applied coupon code and discounted price.

Whether you're in the market for some cool 'phones for yourself or looking to get a jump-start on holiday shopping, this is a solid deal on some sweet Bluetooth ear-cups.

Bonus deal: Is your iPhone battery getting old? You can try swapping in a new battery, or just snap on an extended-battery case. Like this one: Tanga has the uNu DX Plus iPhone 4/4S battery case for $29.99 shipped. It's available in black, silver/black, and silver/white, and it sells elsewhere for $50.
