Get a SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8GB MP3 player for $19.99

That's your out-the-door price on this refurbished player, which features a color display, FM radio, and expandable storage.

The 8GB SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ is a steal at $19.99.

Is there still a place in the world for the lowly MP3 player? Absolutely there is. It's a great companion for the gym, the hiking trail, the 5K you're training for, and so on.

And for 20 bucks? How can you go wrong? Today only, and while supplies last, DealFisher has the refurbished SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ 8GB MP3 player for $19.99, shipped. I'm not sure I've ever seen this particular player priced this low.

Indeed, this is not the tiny Sansa Clip you often see selling in this price range, but rather the more robust (though still quite diminutive) Fuze+. It features a 2.4-inch LCD screen, touch controls, an FM radio, a voice recorder, and a rechargeable battery. (You never know when some cheap-o player might try to slip in AAAs.)

The Fuze+ also has a microSD expansion slot, which allows for the addition of memory cards up to 32GB. It supports a wide range of audio formats, including Audible, and can even display photos and videos.

Despite having a few qualms about the touch-pad controls, screen resolution, and audio quality, CNET rated the Fuze+ four stars out of five -- and that was back when it sold for $89.

Because this is refurbished, it comes with only a 90-day warranty. But did I also mention it's $20 out the door? If you need a versatile radio, recorder, and/or music player that can handle the abuse of a pocket, gym bag, or the like, this is a pretty slammin' deal.

Bonus deal: Still in the market for a powerful desktop? Today only, and while supplies last, Tech.Woot once again has the refurbished HP Envy H8-1450 tower PC for $449.99, plus $5 for shipping. This is a six-core system with 10GB of RAM, a 2TB hard drive, a 16GB SSD used for caching, and a 2GB Eyefinity Radeon HD 7570 graphics card. Serious powerhouse.

Bonus deal No. 2: That HP comes with Windows 8. If that's a deal-breaker for you, or you just want to be prepared to downgrade a future PC, Newegg has Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit for $79.99, shipped when you apply coupon code EMCXRVM22 at checkout. (As with most Newegg coupon codes, you must be a newsletter subscriber to use it.)
