That's the lowest price I can recall seeing for any Roku box ever. But supplies are limited.
Most times when I share a deal, I have no idea how many units the vendor has in stock. This time I do, and while it's a decent quantity, I can guarantee you they won't last long. Here's hoping you're able to grab one before they're gone.
Today only, and while supplies last, DealFisher has the refurbished Roku 2 HD streaming media box for $34.95 shipped. That's the lowest price I've ever seen for any Roku box -- hence my expectation of a quick sell-out.
There's probably not much I can tell you about the Roku you don't already know. Stream Netflix, stream Pandora, stream HBO Go and Hulu Plus and CNET and just about everything else there is to stream (except YouTube, sigh).
The Roku 2 HD is a lower-end model in that it tops out at 720p, while others can do 1080p. That's not an issue if you have a smaller TV. Heck, I have a 720p Roku connected to my 55-incher, and everything I stream looks fantastic.
This being a refurb, it comes with a 90-day warranty. Ah, but did you know that new Roku boxes have that same (inexplicably short) warranty? So no downside there. However, it's worth noting that the new Roku 1 (I know, the numbering makes no sense), which goes on sale today, supports 1080p and has channel shortcut buttons on its remote, and costs only $59.99.
I've made no secret of my undying love of Roku boxes (which, incidentally, can now stream music, photos, and videos from your iOS device, just like an Apple TV), and at this price you're crazy not to snatch one up for any non-smart TV you want to smarten up.
Bonus deal: Speaking of insanely cheap, Adorama has the Canon Pixma MG2220 multifunction printer for $24.99 shipped. It prints, scans, and copies, and can churn out borderless photos as large as 8.5 x 11. It's not wireless, unfortunately, but at this price it's less than a set of ink cartridges.
