Get a Planar 22-inch LCD monitor for $99.99

The PL2210W doesn't have a lot of fancy features, but it does come with a three-year warranty. Can't beat that!

Dell

You know the old saying: the early bird gets the cheap desktop LCD.

Until tomorrow, and while supplies last, Dell Home has the Planar PL2210W 22-inch LCD monitor for $99.99 shipped (plus sales tax in some states). That's after applying coupon code PB1$HPNGJBZ$M9 at checkout.

The 22-incher has long been the sweet spot for desktop monitors, both in terms of price and practical size. If you've never experienced the joy that is a second screen, here's your chance to add one on the cheap.

As you might expect, the PL2210W is a fairly no-frills LCD. It offers a 1,920 by 1,080-pixel native resolution, 5ms response time, anti-glare coating, and DVI and VGA inputs.

Its actual viewing area is 21.5 inches, which is annoyingly typical among "22-inch class" monitors.

The real standout feature here is Planar's three-year warranty, which is decidedly not typical.

I haven't tried this model myself, but a handful of Dell buyers rated it 4.8 stars out of 5 on average. And, really, what's not to like? A 22-inch LCD for a hundred bucks out the door is a rare and beautiful thing.

The only caveat here is that Dell's deals often end quickly. Although the coupon code doesn't expire until tomorrow, July 12, there's every possibility the monitor will sell out before then. If you're keen on this screen, I hope you're able to grab one!

Bonus deal: Need to convert a video file to a different format? As part of a London 2012 Olympics special, for some reason, you can get uRexsoft Video Converter Platinum free of charge. The program supports a wide range of file types and can convert them for viewing on smartphones, tablets, and other devices. It normally sells for $34.95.
