In your face, Prime Day. And Black Friday. Cyber Monday, too, you also-ran.

Today only, and while supplies last (they may not last long), A4C has the refurbished Pebble Time smartwatch for $59.95 shipped. That's definitely the lowest price I've seen, and in fact it's exactly where the original Pebble was selling about a year ago.

(See you back here in summer, 2017, for the refurbished Pebble Time 2!)

The Pebble Time hits an all-time low: $59.95 out the door.

Pebble

The last time I ran a Pebble Time deal, it was $79.99 (or closer to $70 if you took advantage of Ebates). I don't envision this dropping much lower, though the aforementioned original Pebble did dip to $50 at one point. Over the prospect of saving another $10, I wouldn't wait.

As any regular Cheapskate reader knows, I consider a smartwatch essential solely because of notifications. As a small-business owner and small-family operator, it's critical I don't miss calls and messages. Know how often I used to miss them because I couldn't see, hear or feel my phone? All. The. Time. Know how often that happens now? Almost never.

Of course, the Pebble can do more than just buzz when there's an event. It offers a huge selection of apps and watchfaces, along with basic fitness features and a smattering of optional "smart straps" that add features like GPS and heart-rate monitoring. It's water resistant to 30 meters and able to run several days before returning to the charger.

The color screen is part blessing, part curse: It looks great outdoors, but it's hard to see under dim lighting -- and the colors look pretty weak under all conditions. My Apple Watch also has a color screen, one that's much sharper, but I never really notice it because I mostly care about notifications.

At under $60 out the door, I think the Pebble Time is a terrific Android accessory and a pretty good iPhone one. I say that because I always had problems keeping my various Pebbles paired with my various iPhones, but I seem to be in the minority on that. Your mileage may vary. Read CNET's review to learn more about the product.

A4C has only the black model, but you have lots of third-party band options if you want to spruce it up.

Bonus deal: Game time! Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go are two fantastic mobile puzzle games. They normally sell for $4.99 apiece, but for a limited time you can get a "Go" bundle (both games) for iOS for 99 cents. Android users can hit up the Google Play store to get the two games for 99 cents apiece. Update: Sorry, cheeps -- the Go bundle for iOS is back up to $6.99, and both apps individually are back at $4.99. The Android versions, as of 7:30 a.m. PT, are still 99 cents.

Bonus deal No. 2: Game time, the sequel! For a limited time, download the farming game Hay Day (for Android and Amazon Fire) for free and you'll get a $10 Amazon Appstore credit. Talk about an easy win!
