Watch this: More ways to communicate in iOS 8

The Messages app received some much-needed upgrades in iOS 8 .

Text messages have evolved to become the main medium of communication for many people, but before today, Apple's Messages app on iOS hadn't really evolved along with the text messaging phenomenon.

As with most standard messaging apps, we could already send text, photos, and videos, but iOS 8 adds a few more things you can do while chatting with friends.

Taking a page from third-party apps like WhatsApp Messenger, you can now easily share your location. But you also can check out all the photos shared between your contacts in one easy location and send audio clips when text is not enough.
