Get a Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet 16GB for $140

Stop the presses! Overstock has the refurbished top-end Nook for a full $60 off the newly lowered price of a new one. And you still get a one-year warranty.

It was just the other day that Barnes & Noble cut prices on its Nook tablets , making all three of its top-end models more competitive and more affordable than ever.

But those price cuts can't compare with this: While supplies last, Overstock.com has the refurbished refurbished Nook Tablet 16GB for $140, plus $2.95 for shipping.

(Interestingly, Overstock also has the refurbished Nook Tablet 8GB for $135, but for a mere $5 more, the 16GB model is obviously the much better buy.)

In case you're not familiar with it, the Nook Tablet is a fairly robust Android-powered model with a 7-inch screen, microSD expansion slot, dual-core processor, and one of the prettier tablet designs I've seen.

Much like the Kindle Fire, it runs a customized version of Android, one that I don't find particularly appealing or intuitive, but one that can run most of the popular apps.

If you want a more traditional Android experience, just pop in a specialized memory card from N2ACards or Root My Nook Tablet and you can boot right into Android proper.

I was concerned that Overstock's refurbs might have a short warranty, but they're backed by Barnes & Noble for a full year, same as new Nooks.

Needless to say, I expect these will sell out quickly. Unless you think it's better to wait and see what new tablet models Amazon and/or Apple announce in the coming weeks, take advantage of this killer deal while you can.
