Get a 4.3-inch Pharos GPS for $59.99 shipped
Amazingly, this is a new unit, not a refurb. It is, however, an older model, and there's a mail-in rebate involved. Even so, it'll probably sell out fast.
While I'm sure I'll be kicking myself in about 40 minutes because the product sold out, I just can't let this deal pass by: Dell has a Pharos Drive GPS 250 for $59.99 shipped.
That's after applying coupon code CGMTBMBRFBS037 and mailing in a $30 rebate form (PDF). Gripe all you want about rebates, but this is one of the sweetest GPS deals I've ever seen.
Admittedly, this is slightly older model, so don't expect many modern bells and whistles (like Bluetooth or real-time traffic). But the Drive 250 does cover the basics, such as text-to-speech, a 1 million-strong point-of-interest database, and a pedestrian mode for on-foot navigation.
The real highlight is the 4.3-inch screen, which is sooo much easier on the eyes than the 3.5-inchers common at this price point.
CNET reviewed the Drive 250 when it was $299.95 (!) and had mostly good things to say. And the user reviews on Dell's site are very positive overall (4.4 stars out of 5, on average). A sluggish interface seems to be the main complaint.
The only thing I can't figure out is if (or how) you can get map updates for this model. If anyone knows, hit the comments.
In the meantime, if you're looking for a dirt-cheap GPS with a roomy screen, grab this before it's gone. Mark my words: it will be.
