Get a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive for $14.99
If you need to put a lot of storage in your pocket, this is the best deal yet on a 32GB drive. Especially one that changes color. No, really.
Sorry about yesterday's oopsie with the hard drive. As I've noted countless times before, and as stated at the bottom of every post, deals are subject to availability, expiration, and other terms determined by sellers. The rub with most coupon codes is that I don't know when they're about to expire.
Likewise, it's hard to know when an independent seller working through Amazon will run out of something, which makes me a bit leery about today's deal. But, hey, nothing ventured, nothing saved, am I right? (It's an expression!)
For a limited time, and while supplies last, Silicon Power USA (via Amazon) has the Silicon Power Blaze B10 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive for $14.99 shipped (if you're an Amazon Prime subscriber -- otherwise you'll have to pad your cart to $25 if you want free shipping). That's the lowest price I've seen for a drive of this capacity.
Quick caveat: If you're not a Prime subscriber, shipping adds another $8, which is ridiculous for a flash drive. Unless you've got another $10.01 worth of shopping to do at Amazon anyway, I'd skip this deal.
Also, if you click through and see a different price or seller, it means this particular deal has expired. Amazon often switches product pages over to different sellers (and different prices) to keep the appearance that something is still in stock, but the change can be subtle.
Only the 32GB version of this drive -- in "Turkey Blue" -- is available at this price. The black version sells for $19.99, the silver one for $29.99. But this is basically a black flash drive with blue racing stripes -- stripes that change color as the drive's temperature changes! How cool is that?
And it's a USB 3.0 drive (backward-compatible with USB 2.0, of course), so file transfers should happen lickety-split. There's even an LED that indicates drive activity, something you don't see very often anymore.
Silicon Power also supplies its SP Widget software, which features "seven powerful backup and security functions" (including, most importantly, encryption for those who want it). And while it's not mentioned anywhere on the Amazon product page, the Blaze drives are backed by a lifetime warranty.
I've never been a huge fan of flash drives with removable, easily lost caps, but that's the only downside I can see to this otherwise stellar deal.
Bonus deal: Speaking of things selling out, DealFisher will probably run out of these before I finish this sentence, but here goes anyway: Get the refurbished Acer Aspire M5-581T-6807 15.6-inch laptop for $399.99 shipped. It's no Ultrabook, despite the description, but it does pack some decent power, including an Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 500GB hybrid drive (with 20GB SSD), and a DVD burner. It sells new for $699.99.
