I've always been a sucker for monitor deals, and this is one of the best I've seen: PC Connection has an EQD Auria EQ236 24-inch LCD monitor for $159.99 shipped. (Residents of AL, IL, NC, NJ, NY, and OH will have to pony up sales tax as well.)
This is not a refurbished unit. It's brand new, and it comes with a 2-year warranty. You don't have to mess around with any rebates, either.
Plus, the specs are decidedly above-average: the EQ236 includes VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs, and it serves up full 1080p (a.k.a. 1,920 x 1,080) resolution. It also has built-in speakers, so you could pair this with a game console or even Blu-ray player.
Technically, however, it's a 23.6-inch LCD, not a full 24 inches. Those pesky product manufacturers are always rounding up, aren't they?
I've never heard of EQD, but let's face it: most of these displays come from the same small batch of factories. Feel free to check out the company's site if you want to learn more about them.
PC Connection's product page shows only a couple user reviews, one of which is negative because the buyer thought he/she was getting an HDTV. Just to clarify, the EQ236 has no tuner. Over at Newegg, 83% of the 23 user reviews give the monitor four or five stars.
I'm not sure how long this price is valid or whether PC Connection is likely to sell out. If I was buying, I'd assume the price was today-only and supplies were limited. In other words, act fast!
