Gems made from the carbon of loved ones

A recent post in this space, about a product that for posterity, drew some interesting reader responses. Most were expressions of disgust, but one noted another controversial keepsake called LifeGem, "a certified, high-quality diamond created from the carbon of your loved one as a memorial to their unique life"--pets included.
