Gateway names new CEO

After a months-long search, PC maker Gateway has finally settled on a permanent successor to former CEO Wayne Inouye, who quit in February.

J. Edward Coleman will take over as chief on Sept. 18 from Rick Snyder, the chairman of the board who was serving as interim CEO, Gateway said on Thursday. The 30-year veteran previously was president of the enterprise computing solutions group at Arrow Electronics.
