Apple has released GarageBand 3.0.2, a maintenance update for the music recording studio software.

The new release addresses issues with video handling, podcast exporting, and importing QuickTime markers. It also addresses a number of other minor issues.

For more information, as well as a download link, see VersionTracker's GarageBand 3.0.2 product page.

Some users are noting some issues with the update.

One MacFixIt reader writes:

"After installing via Software Update, launching GarageBand 3.0.2 produces the following error several times:

'GarageBand has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers.'

'Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to your computer. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.'

then after clicking 'OK' several times on this dialog, I received the following dialogue:

"Mac OS X MIDI services are not available."

"Upon quitting the first mentioned dialogue repeats same number of times.

"Re-launching the application has rendered some third party AU plugins unusable but seems to be functionining otherwise."
